Yara Gamal, our founder, at the Thamarat stand.

We were invited to Cook and Connect to run the bazaar, one part of a larger event. Alongside the bazaar there were clay workshops, drawing workshops for children and storytelling workshops. The day brought several kinds of activity together, and the bazaar was our part of it.

Running a bazaar is close to what we do at our Souq, where donations from the community are sorted and set out for people to choose from. At our stand there were rails, crates and tables of clothes, shoes and bags, with the Thamarat banner beside them.

We want everyone who comes to have the experience of shopping: to look around, take their time and choose for themselves.

It turned out beautifully. We are thankful for the invitation, and to everyone who came by the bazaar.
